432,594. Dials and scales for gas meters. GLOVER & CO., Ltd., T., and GLOVER, W. R., Gothic Works, Angel Road, Edmonton, London. March 27, 1934, No. 9559. [Class 106 (iv)] A spindle 11 carrying a pointer 12 is arranged centrallv of the dial 10 and is driven from one of the shafts of the usual gas meter pointers, while the dial 10 is surrounded by toothed ring 13 carrying a ring 14 having markings up to 1000 cub. ft. which ring is rotated by means of a key pushed from outside into the slotted bush of a pinion 16 gearing with the ring 13. The consumption of gas for a short period is determined by rotating the scale 14 so that its zero comes against the pointer 12 at the beginning of the period and taking the reading on the scale at the close, the scale being adjusted again for the next period &c.
