[Class 106 (iv)] ] ( Also in Group XXIV] An indicator scale speed-reducing gearing comprises a driving crown wheel A fixed' to a shaft S the number of revolutions of which are to be indicated, the wheel A engaging a compound pinion B, C gearing with a fixed crown wheel E and a driven crown wheel D, the latter carrying an indicator pointer P of a moving coil voltage regulator or other apparatus. The pinion B, C is loose on a radial spindle carried by a collar G free on the shaft S. Alternatively A may mesh with C instead of with B.
