493,562. Moving signs. GREENSLADE, A. A. April 19,1937, No. 11068. [Class 3 (i)] A plurality of independent endless display bands 32 arranged behind windows in a casing can be selectively actuated by a manuallyoperated disc 12 and a pointer 15. Each band driving roller is connected, either directly or through gearing 31, with a shaft 27 carrying a crown or bevel wheel 26, each of which is in mesh with a pinion 6. The pinions 6 lie around a circle, and can each be engaged by an intermediate wheel 8 constantly in gear with a central pinion 7 on the shaft 9 carrying the disc 12. The wheel 8 is mounted in an arm 11 extending from a sleeve journalled on the shaft 9, and to this sleeve is fixed an indicator ring 14 furnished with the pointer 15. The sleeve is slidable on the shaft 9 and can be pressed down against a spring to remove an upstanding pin on the arm 11 from one of a series of holes 19 in the upper bearing plate 17 of the pinions 6. The ring 14 is then turned till the pointer 15 indicates the required band and the ring is allowed to rise with the pin registering in the corresponding hole 19.
