A clock in which the conventional hands are replaced by movable transparent discs each of which bears a distinguishing mark or index is characterized in that each disc is journaled for loose rotation about a corresponding driving pivot, being only rotatably connected with said pivot by means of at least one pin eccentrically situated near the centre of the disc, the peripheral edge of said disc running freely in an annular groove formed in the clock framing. The casing back 1, Fig. 1, has a flanged edge 4 which abuts the edge of a plate 6, the back 1 and plate 6 being held by screws 11 in a ring member 3. The "minutes" disc 17, Figs. 1 and 3, bearing an index 21 is driven by the clockwork 2 through a driving member 15 mounted on a sleeve 13 and having a pin 15a which engages in a hole 16 in the disc 17. The "hours" disc 26, Figs. 1 and 4, having an index 20 is driven through a driving pivot member 25 mounted on the hub of the hour wheel and having two pins which engage notches 28, Fig. 4, in the disc 26. The peripheral edges of the discs 17, 26 run in grooves 19 and 9, Fig. 1, respectively in the ring 3..A transparent disc 31, Figs. 1 and 2, is held in a recess 32 in the ring 3 by a ring 33 bearing the dial markings. The plate 6 and the discs 17, 26 and 31 are spangled with stars and have concentric circles 6a, 20, 29 and 35 marked thereon and the disc 31 has at its centre an opaque mask 36, Fig. 5. The ring 3 is fixed to a base 10, Fig. 1, by screws 12.
