Class 139 A timepiece comprises two disc elements located one above the other and relatively movable, the discs each having a design thereon and the upper one being at least partly transparent so that a continually changing pattern is obtained. In the first example, Figs. 1 and 2, a metal or plastic disc 9 rotates with the cannon pinion 8 above the hour hand 7 and its upper surface is decorated at 9a. A transparent disc 12 carried by the fourth wheel shaft 10 rotates above the disc 9 and its upper surface has the design or decoration 12a. A projection 9b of the disc 9 serves as the minute hand and a projection 12b of the disc 12 as the seconds hand. The hour markings are on the bezel 4. In another example, Fig. 3 not shown, one of the co-operating designs is marked on the inside surface of the glass and the other on a disc carried by a centrally disposed fourth wheel arbor. The movement is supported in a ring fixed between the caseband and bezel. In another embodiment, Fig. 4, one of the designs 23a is marked on a disc 23 carried by the fourth wheel arbor 22 and the other design 5b is marked on the countersunk area 24 of the dial 5a. In another example, Fig. 7, one of the designs 28 is marked at the edge of a disc 12e carried by the fourth wheel arbor and the other design 30 is marked on the movement supporting ring 2a.
