[Class 106 (i)] The indicating mechanism of a gas meter comprises a dial graduated to show one cubic foot or an integral multiple of one cubic foot and a number of further dials graduated in therms so that they give a reading of one therm and of integral multiples of one therm. The gearing between the cubic-foot pointer and the first therm pointer is arranged so that other gearing can readily be substituted for it when the meter is to be used for measuring gas of a different thermal value.
