[Classes 106 (iii) and 106 (iv).] An indicating instrument such as a speedometer comprises a casing provided with a translucent dial 6, as shown, and an opaque disc 5 with a reading window arranged in front of the dial, the dial or disc being rotatable to expose the graduations through the window by connections with the moving element of the instrument. The dial is adapted to be illuminated by a source of light placed inside the casing. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 25165/11, [Class 106 (iv), Indicating &c.].
