[Class 44] A sliding-clasp fastener with fastener members of artificial resin, celluloid, or other non-metallic material, has the stringer tapes a fitted with foundation members b, of similar material to that of the fastener members, on which the fastener members c are secured by a homogenous connection effected by heat, adhesives, or solvent action. The fastener members c may be coloured, but the foundation members bare colourless to avoid staining the tape if they are secured on the tape by a solvent action. The width of the foundation members b may be greater than the thickness of the fastener members c.
