Abstract

633,675. Sliding-clasp fasteners. COLLINGS, H. Oct. 24, 1947, No. 28465. [Class 44] In a sliding-clasp fastener of the kind in which a number of elements, strung on a flexible connection, slide along the beaded edges of the opening, the elements 4 are of V-form and adapted to nest with each other and with a triangular block 3 at one end and in a triangular recess in an operating element 5 attached to the free end of the flexible connection. Fig. 5 shows one element, with slots 8a and grooves 8 to engage the beaded stringer tape, and a stud 7 to engage a flexible tape. The elements may be made of moulded material, and may be in two parts, of different materials, connected by a press stud or like fastening 10.
