Aug. 17, 1955], Nos. 34167/54, 4103/55, 2374- Class 44 [Also in Group V] A sliding clasp fastener comprises two lines of fastening elements, each line comprising a strip of plastic formed into a series of loops fixed to a fabric strip and a stop made of plastic material moulded around a number of the loops at or adjacent one end of at least one of the plastic strips (see Group V), the stop being united with the fabric strip between the loops around which it is moulded. As shown a bottom stop 17, Fig. 1 of synthetic plastic material such as Nylon is moulded into and around the end coils of the fastener. In other arranements, Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown), the top is in the form of a bridge joining the end coils of opposite fastener elements and a separate stop is applied to the end coils of each stringer respectively.
