[Class 103 (i)] [See also Group XXXI] In an internallyexpanding hub brake for cycles, of the type actuated by a cam and an external arm connected to Bowden wire or like control mechanism, the following means are pro. vided for compensating for wear of the brake shoes, while maintaining the pull of the cable &c. at rightangles to a cam-operating lever. A lever 7 is freely mounted on the pivot pin 1 of the cam, and is detachably connected at one end to a cable 8, as by means of a hooked end 9 and a yoke 10, its other end being adjustably connected to the cam arm 3 by means of a screw stud or pin 12 adapted to engage one of two or more spaced holes 6 in the arm.
