430,115. Cutting potatoes &c. DRAKE, E., and DRAKE, F., Dennis Court, Green Lane, Halifax. April 11, 1934, No. 10850. [Class 5 (i)] The grid-like plunger H of a chip potato machine is connected by links O to the elbow of a bell-crank operating lever J of which the short arm J<1> is pivoted at its end on a pin L housed in the machine frame B. The short arm J<1> is forked and a rod T is pivoted on a pin S within the fork, the rod being provided with a washer W and adjusting nut V. A spring X mounted on the rod T is compressed between the washer W and the base of the machine on the down stroke of the lever. The plunger H carries sleeves G sliding on vertical guide rods E.
