Abstract

429,070. Pistons. WEIR, Ltd., G. & J., Holm Foundry, Cathcart, and PULLIN, C. G., 104, Queen's Drive, both in Glasgow. June 16, 1934, No. 17875. [Class 122 (i)] The gudgeon pin socket is blind at one end and closed at the other by a plug 11 intersected by a ring groove or grooves 3, 4. The plug may be of cone form or a push fit or may be screw threaded into the socket and may be provided with a packing ring to prevent leakage therearound to the inside of the piston. A spring ring 15 retains the gudgeon pin in position.
