427,698. Spinning-rings. KUWADA, G., Maetani-Mura, Kawabegun, Hyogo, Japan. Aug. 28, 1934, No. 24769. [Class 120 (ii)] A spinning - ring carrying a freely mounted traveller is rotatably mounted in its holder by a series of balls providing a rolling friction bearing, the ball races being so arranged that downward and lateral forces are carried by the balls, but slight lifting of the ring is permitted. The ring 1 is mounted in its holder 3 by two rows of ball bearings 4, 5 which take lateral and downward thrust whilst permitting the ring to rise slightly ; the balls 4 are introduced through an aperture 6. In a modified form, a single row of balls is employed.
