A combined radial and thrust bearing comprises needle rollers e and balls l having at least one common race ring. A common cage m may be provided or the cages may be separate. The outer or inner race of the ball-bearing may be separate and spaced from the housing or shaft respectively. Alternatively, as shown in Fig. 7, the inner ballrace is integral with the inner race ring 1, but is made of resilient material and is spaced from the shaft 6. In a modification, the outer race is similarly stepped and made resilient. The balls may have threepoint contact as shown in Fig. 8.
