[Class 12 (i)] A combined ball and roller bearing has the roller races H, H<1>, I, I<1> arranged at the sides of the ball races B, D, the balls E and rollers G may be retained by the same cage F. The race rings A, C may be fitted with retaining members for the rollers. The numbers of the balls and rollers may be equal or different, whilst two or more rows of balls or rollers may be provided. The race rings may be made up of a number of pieces or sections and the cage made in a single piece.
