[Class 120 (i)] In a gill-box, intersecting gill-box, worsted drawing-frame, or like machine mechanism for reciprocating rubbing leathers, rollers, or like devices and for adjusting the extent of the reciprocation comprises two sets of eccentrics or cranks 5 .. 8, Figs. 1 and 2, provided respectively for working two rods 22, 28 ; 23, 29 and comprising in each set two cooperating eccentrics or cranks 5, 7, and 6, 8 adjustable relatively to each other and secured to revolve together in different positions of adjustment so that the eccentricity of one may be added to or subtracted from that of the other. A block 4 is formed with oppositely directed eccentrics 5, 6 equal in eccentricity and is mounted adjustably on a shaft 1, other eccentrics 7, 8 equal to them in eccentricity being mounted around the eccentrics 5, 6 and disposed oppositely in relation to one another. The eccentrics are secured by set screws 10, 11 which pass through radial slots 14, 15 in face plates 16, 17 respectively secured to the shaft 1 by splines 18, 19 and set screws 16*, 17*. On slackening the screws 10, 11 the block 4 can be turned relatively to the eccentrics 7, 8 so as to set the mechanism in any required position from that in which the eccentricity is doubled to that in which the eccentricities are neutralized. The straps 20, 21 are connected respectively to the composite rods 22, 28 ; 23, 29 which are adjustable in screwed sleeves 26, 27 and are secured e.g. by gudgeon pins 32, 33 to the parts 34, 35 to be reciprocated. Lock nuts 24*, 25*, 28*, 29* are provided.
