Class 120(1) A carding machine comprises pairs of worker and stripper rollers 3, 4 in wich the stripper roller 4 is disposed after the worker roller 3 in the direction of travel of the material on the cylinder 1 and, in addition to the usual final fancy 5, a supplementary fancy or fancies 8 interposed between worker-stripper pairs or groups of pairs. This arrangement ensures that material passes only once through each carding point and is kept at the points of the cylinder teeth. As shown, a single extra fancy 8 is disposed between two groups of two worker-stripper pairs.
