721,280. Fulling-machines. BRUYERE, F. Nov. 15, 1951 [Dec. 2, 1950], No. 26824/51. Class 63. In a fulling machine for hats having three superposed layers of rollers two layers at least of which are reciprocated axially, the reciprocation of each roller is individually adjustable. A shaft d has an eccentric c keyed to it for each roller h. A roller bearing e on an eccentric is engaged by a projection f that is adjustably screwed on to a shaft g of the roller h. A spring i between a shaft bearing j and a nut and counternut system k keeps the projection f in contact with the bearing e with an adjustable pressure. If different reciprocating speeds are imparted to the different layers an improved grinding action will result.
