680,687. Cutting - machines. KOPELOWICZ, A. Nov. 17. 1950. No. 28145/50. Class 31 (i). In a machine for cutting a rubber sheet a into threads b of the kind comprising two rows of cutting discs 1, 2 mounted on rotary shafts 3, 4 with the cutting edges of the discs of one row located between the cutting edges of the discs of the other row, the discs being separated by washers 5, 6 having a thickness substantially equal to the thickness of the discs, and rings 9, 10 being provided which are each arranged between two cutting discs with a free oscillating movement around the separator washer and are capable of expelling the respective rubber threads, the oscillating movement of the rings is limited or prevented by means of rollers 11, 12 in frictional contact with the rings. The cutting edges of the discs 1, 2 are ground continuously by means of plates 7, 8.
