Abstract
425,348. Vehicle window regulators. AUTOMOBILE VENTILATION, Inc., 2559, Union Guardian Building, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Toneray, M. H. ; Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.) Aug. 15, 1934, No. 23533. Convention date, Sept. 6, 1933. [Class 20 (iii)] A vertically-sliding vehicle window of the kind described in Specification 419,409, which, when closed, may be moved horizontally in its own plane to provide a front ventilation opening, is given the horizontal movement by the stud 35 of one regulator lever engaging the end 45 of a slot in a plate 26 secured to the bottom rail of the panel. The second lever stud moves in a concentric slot 44 during the horizontal movement and a vertical portion 42 allows for the vertical component of the movement of the stud 35 at the same time. To prevent movement of the panel when raised other than by the regulator, a slotted locking plate 47, Fig. 8, pivoted at 48 to the plate 26 is provided with V-shaped and inclined slots 54, 53 which are inclined to the slots of the plate 26 and prevent relative movement of the studs 35, 36 and panel. Also, as shown in Fig. 6, the angular relation of the slots in the plates 47, 26 prevents movement in the ventilation position other than by the regulator.
