H.; 269, Marlborough Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.) June 17, 1935, No. 17399. Convention date, July 18, 1934. [Class 20 (iii)] A vertically slidable vehicle window of the kind claimed in Specification 437,877, which is moved horizontally in its plane by regulator mechanism to provide a ventilation opening at the front edge and which is adapted also tc be moved horizontally in its own plane during its vertical movement to pass in front of the spindle 17 of the door lock, is characterized ir that both horizontal movements are caused by a cam slot 40 on one regulator lever 29 and ar engaging stud and roller 38 secured to a block 37 on the retainer plate 31a of the sash, Fig. 5 The offset part 40b of the cam slot 40 effect! the ventilating opening and the remainder o the cam causes the stud to follow the path 61 The slot 40 is flared and bridged by an off-set part 40<a>, Fig. 3, at its lower end, to allow the stud 38 to leave and enter the slot. The regulator lever studs 30 have spring-pressed conical washers 36 engaging the flared edges of a channel guide formed between the glassreceiving channel 31 and an angle member 32 welded thereto.
