Holders for sliding windows.-Means for holding a vehicle window in any position comprises a screwed stud secured in a bracket 9 on the bottom rail of sash, and projecting through a metal-lined slot p in the door &c. lining, and a clamping-nut r to engage the edges of the slot or recesses q<1> therein. The bottom rail b is feltlined and the glass is secured therein by cement &c. The guides are also felt-lined to eliminate rattling &c. A lock-nut s on a reduced part of the stud h prevents the complete unscrew of the nut r.
