Abstract
419,740. Vehicle windows ; frames; preventing rattle. METCALFE, E., 44, Alder Road, and WALTER, Ltd., M., 145, Sandgate Road, both in Folkestone, Kent. May 18, 1933, No. 14414. [Class 20 (iii).] Pairs of sliding vehicle windows are adapted to move in inclined guides 1<a>, 2<a> in the vehicle doors or body so that the vertical edges 9 of the panels may engage when raised. A rubber or other bead may be provided on the meeting edge of one panel and the inclined extensions of the panel frame may have rollers 11 engaging the sides of the frame guides in the well to prevent vibration, the rollers being carried by plates secured to the frame at points where the panel is recessed. The meeting point of the inclined guides is preferably arranged below the top of well, but if above the well the triangular gap between the sashes when closed may be filled by a removable piece.
