424,299. Vacuum apparatus. AUTOVAC MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd., and HIGGINSON, J., Heaton Norris, Stockport. Dec. 1, 1933, No. 33764. [Class 102 (ii)] In apparatus for raising liquid fuel, of the type in which an air suction valve e and a relief valve f are operated through toggle mechanism m by the rod d of a float, a partition a is arranged betweer the float and the valve mechanism, in order to minimize passage of fuel intc the suction system. The partition may rest on a ledge in the float chamber, or may be secured by studs h, i, to the fuel inlet g and to a post j. The plate a is formed with a slot o to permit insertion over the rod d. The slot is covered by a plate n secured by the studs h.
