Vacuum apparatus. - In vacuumoperated fuel - feed apparatus of the kind in which fuel is drawn by vacuum into a chamber from which it flows bv gravity through a non-return valve into an auxiliary chamber, such as that described in Specification 153,662, the non-return valve a and its counterbalance b are pivoted on a U-shaped member c which is threaded through holes in the discs a, band fixed to a collar &c. d adjacent the valve seat. The upper surface of the member c on which the discs rest may be shaped to a knife edge.
