423,908. Tape-guiding arrangements for the spindles of ring frames. HOWARD & BULLOUGH, Ltd., Globe Works, Accrington, COATS, Ltd., J. & P., 62, George Street, and NEILSON, A., Ferguslie Thread Works, both in Paisley. Aug. 18, 1934, No. 23845. [Class 120 (ii)] In ring spinning and doubling frames the levers 7 carrying the tension pulleys of the spindle - drivng tapes are adapted to be carried in brackets 9 in one or the other of pairs of arms 9<x>, 9<y> secured to a shaft 10, so that the frame may be adapted for twist or weft by rotating the shaft 10, whereby either of the pairs of arms 9<x>, 9<y> are correctly disposed to receive the levers 7. The shaft 10 is operated through gearing by a shaft 17 and its two positions are determined by stops. Stops 20 on the brackets 9 limit the movement of the levers 7 if the tapes break.
