Abstract

423,745. Hydraulic transmission of power. KLUGE, H. W. J. K., 40, Mathystrasse, Karlsruhe, Baden, and BOLLINGER, H. S. W., 16, Samuel Heinickestrasse, Frankenthal, Bavaria, both in Germany. Aug. 8, 1933, No. 22132. Convention date, Aug. 8, 1932. [Class 69 (ii)] In a hydraulic power transmission gear comprising a pump wheel 3, a turbine wheel 4, and a guide wheel 5, two automatic one-way devices are provided; one 8 coacts with a fixed casing 7 to prevent reverse rotation of the guide wheel 5, and the other 9 couples the wheel 5 to the driven shaft 2 as soon as its forward speed exceeds that of the shaft. The outlet bore of the wheel 5 is less than the outlet bore of the preceding turbine wheel 4. The turbine and guide wheel may be in stages, the outlet bore of the last or each guide wheel stage being less than that of the preceding turbine stage.
