Abstract
423,558. Buckles &c. ZIMMERMANN, V., 31, Schiesstattstrasse, Bilovec, Czecho- Slovakia. June 6, 1934, No. 16838. [Class 43] The span width of a band having both ends sewn down, e.g. to a waistcoat or sock, is adjusted by passing a loop 6 of the band or the free ends of two bands which are subsequently connected to form a loop, through a one piece buckle 5 and inserting a press-stud 12 into the root of the loop to clamp the band in desired position, the stud causing the limb of the loop to be pressed against the plain or serrated edges of the buckle slot 8. Accidental displacement of the band or the fastening members may be prevented by the engagement of the band loop with teeth 15 on the stud base or prongs on the outer edges of the buckle, a buckle of the latter type being formed with blunt protecting tongues to prevent accidental pricking. The stud may be sewn to the inner side of the band loop as shown in Fig. 4.
