423,024. Trousers, skirts, &c. HAKANSSON, V. G. J., Bollebygd, Sweden. Oct. 5, 1934, No. 28588. [Class 141] Trousers, sports-skirts, or other garments secured round the waist are slit downwards at 2 from the waist-band at each side and the edges of the back portion of the garment are arranged inside the rear edges of the front portions so that girth adjustments can be made without puckering. Adjustment is effected by strap portions 3, 4 which are fixed at their rear ends 5 and extend through sleeves 6 on the front portions of the garment, and by supplementary straps 7 which are fixed to the rear portion of the trousers at the top of the side slits 2 and extend forwards through openings in the front portion and are secured to the straps 3, 4. Linings 8 may be secured to the front and back portions adjacent the side slits to form pockets.
