[Class 80 (ii).] Relates to plant for marine propulsion of the type in which a reciprocating engine i drives a propeller shaft k direct, and an exhaust turbine h drives it through reduction gearing g, d, the shaft b of the reciprocator passing through the hollow shaft c of the gear wheel d. The shafts b, c are connected by a cone coupling m, n, and an extension of the shaft b is connected to the driven shaft k by a sleeve coupling q. A safety nut r is provided for the cone coupling.
