418,756. Bayonet - joint fastenings. VICKERS-ARMSTRONGS, Ltd., LARSSON, C. A., and HIGSON, P. R., Vickers House, Broadway, Westminster. May 13, 1933, No. 13996. [Class 44.] For readily attaching a gun barrel 7 to the breech body 6 a sleeve 8 carrying interrupted collars 13 is rotated in a recess in the breech body to engage the collars with corresponding collars 12 on the gun barrel and the sleeve is provided with one or more cam surfaces such as x which engage the breech body to cause axial movement of the sleeve and force the collar 9 on the barrel against the body. A flat 10 on the collar 9 prevents rotation of the barrel.
