Abstract

417,168. Drying fibre-board or paper. BRODIN, C. F., 35, Skepparegatan, Stockholm. Dec. 21, 1933, No. 35980. Convention date, Dec. 28, 1932. [Class 96.] Plates or sheets of wet fibrous material are carried between pressing rolls by a web of rubber sponge, so that the liquid is transferred to the web. The rubber may be covered with layers of some other fibrous material, such as felt, ratan or mineral material; it may be reinforced by a network of wires or of fibrous material. A porous intermediate layer may be provided, being in contact with the rubber and the material to be dried only when passing through the pressing rolls. A rubber sponge web may also be used as a top-cloth.
