Abstract
416,882. Dispensing liquids. TECALEMIT, Ltd., Great West Road, Brentford, Middlesex. Nov. 6, 1933, No. 30844. Convention date, Nov. 4, 1932. [Class 102 (i).] In apparatus for dispensing petrol or other liquids, of the type in which a meter 6 is arranged at the suction side of the pump 1, a byepass 7 controlled by a float 28 is arranged between the suction pipe and the pump, in order to prevent passage of air through the meter. The suction pipe 16 discharges into a hollow bolt 12 and through perforations 27 into a chamber 11. The latter is secured to the float chamber 9 by the bolt 12. The liquid passes through filters 21, 22, held by a spring 26, and through the chamber 9 to the pipe 10 leading to the meter 6, while air escapes from the top of the chamber 9 by the passage 7. The openings of the pipes 7 and 10 are controlled by the float 28. Water passes through a filter 34 to a lateral chamber 32 and is drawn off through a passage 34A controlled by a cock 33 and a float 35 which sinks in petrol.
