[Class 7 (ii).] To facilitate scavenging in a two-stroke engine cylinder having opposed inlet and exhaust ports b, e, the ports b are sub-divided by blades e arranged, respectively, in planes parallel and inclined to the cylinder axis, at the extreme ends and the centre of the belt. The intermediate ports are free from blades e.
