Abstract

<PICT:0413136/IV/1> Textile fibres in sliver form are dyed by winding them upon perforated bobbins 5, each having a perforated conical base 3, so that the base extends radially beyond the wound material, mounting a plurality of wound bobbins upon a central spindle 1, and passing the dye liquor through the assembly radially. Tapered or bayonet joints may be employed between the individual bobbins.
