Abstract
411,883. Cathode-ray tubes. INTERNATIONAL GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Inc., 120, Broadway, New York, U.S.A.- (Assignees of Allgemeine Elektricitõts-Ges.; 2, Friedrich Karl-Ufer, Berlin.) Oct. 18, 1932, No. 29134. Convention date, Oct. 19, 1931. [Class 39 (i).] The intensity of the cathode-ray is modulated magnetically by passing the modulating current through a coil 15 surrounding a tube 10 which is wholly or partially of conducting material and which joins a part 6 containing the cathode 12 to a part 7 supporting the fluorescent screen 14. The parts 6, 7 are of glass and the tube 10 of metal or of internally silvered glass. The tube 10 has an internal diameter of 2-3 mm. and serves as the anode. Specification 177,534, [Class 39 (i)], is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also a modification in which the modulating coil is inside the cathode-ray tube between the cathode and the anode. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
