Abstract
411,749. Wheel tyres. BERCHTOLD, A., 9, Krokusweg, Oerlikon, Zurich, Switzerland. Nov. 9, 1933, No. 31190. [Class 144 (ii).] A spring core, fitted in a rubber tube 3 within an outer cover 1, comprises two or more flat metal helices 4, 5 of equal pitch and nested eccentrically so as to come into action progressively under load. In the construction shown, the two springs are oppositely wound and connected by rivets 8. A rubber lining may be fitted in the outer spring ; or one or both springs may be embedded in rubber.
