411,563. Lawn - mowers. TRAFFORD, C. W., 5, Burleigh Street, Chorlton-on- Medlock, Lancashire. Dec. 24, 1932, No. 36580. [Class 6 (ii).] Grass boxes for lawn-mowers &c. are formed from sections connected together so that they may be turned flat on one another but which are capable of being opened out and secured in the extended position. The box is formed of a rectangular wire frame a to which the sheet metal end pieces b are hinged by their beaded edges b<1>. The front of the box is formed of a sheet metal plate c which is hinged to the frame a and has a back piece d of sheet metal or fibre hinged to its bottom edge. The back piece d, when in use, is bolted to the flanges b<2> of the ends b and to a metal flap e hinged to the top of the frame a. The front c may be provided with metal hooks f to engage the mower or, alternatively, the hooks may be formed as loops f<1> in the wire frame a, Fig. 5, or as projecting pieces g, Fig. 7, on the ends b. When the back d is unbolted the ends b can be folded flat. The back d may also be hinged in the middle to facilitate packing.
