Abstract
478,036. Boxes. ROBINSON, E. Feb. 5, 1937, No. 3540. [Class 18] A folding cardboard box comprises a band constituting the front 15, Fig. 4, and the two side walls 14, 16, a cover 12, Fig. 2, integral with the back 11 which is affixed to the side walls by means of flaps 22, and a base 13, Fig. 3, separate from the cover and provided with extensions 23, 24 overlying the front and back of the box. The base is locked in position by flaps 25, 26 thereon which are bent round to lie against the inside of the side walls between inturned flanges 20, 21 on the latter. For display, the cover is bent about the line 18 and an extension 17 tucked between the back 11 and the base extension 23 overlying it. In a modification, the base is integral with the back of the box and the cover with a back flap and locking extensions is the loose piece.
