Abstract

411,312. Wireless signalling; aerials. URIZIO, G., 28, Via Francia, Pola, Italy. July 24, 1933, No. 20846. Convention date, July 23, 1932. [Class 40 (v).] Wireless communication from a submerged submarine is effected by means of a float a housing the radio-frequency circuits The float is launched to the surface, and the top or cap d removed by suitable clockwork. This releases a small balloon g to elevate the aerial e above sea-level. The lower part of the float contains a spark-transmitter r which is keyed by low-frequency currents from the submarine through leads f, which may be incorporated in the anchoring-wire h. The balloon may be coated with phosporescent material to render it visible at night.
