Abstract
464,975. Directive wireless signalling. LORENZ AKT.-GES., C. Oct. 20, 1936, No. 28540. Convention date, Oct. 24, 1935. [Class 40 (v)] The known directive aerial system shown in Fig. 1, comprising a dipole A, reflecting surface R, Lecher-wire feed-line L and generator-casing G, tends to oscillate as a whole in the fashion of an horizontal dipole with large end-capacity. To prevent this undesirable backward radiation, the reflector R and generator casing G are bonded together by a metal wall V so as to form a unitary. structure which will not oscillate as a dipole.
