Abstract

385,255. Directive wireless signalling. TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE, 12, Hallesches Ufer, Berlin. Oct. 4, 1932, No. 27582. Convention date, Oct. 5, 1931. [Class 40 (v).] To prevent undesirable " scattering " of doublyreflected waves in a beamaerial system comprising a main reflector a and a screening-reflector b, the latter is designed to ensure that all waves undergoing double reflection such as 1, 2, 3, or 11, 21, 31 are concentrated back on the oscillating aerial 0. In order to preserve the correct phase-relation the distance of the oscillator 0 from the vertices of both reflectors is an odd multiple of quarter wave-lengths.
