Abstract
354,902. Angle - measuring instruments. PHILP, C. G., 16, Wynchgate, Chase Side, Southgate, London. June 4, 1930, No. 17121. [Class 97 (ii).] The direction of signals from wireless transmitting stations is indicated by a magnetic needle 2 in combination with cards on which are inscribed markings such as those indicated at 6 representing the magnetic bearings of the stations from different reception points employing directional frame aerials. The device is mounted in a baseboard, the edge 8 of which is placed in line with the aerial, the baseboard and aerial being then rotated together until the needle points to the station desired. The indicator may be attached to the set or to a separate frame aerial unit, and it may be viewed through a slot in the baseboard.
