[Class 8 (i).] A two stage air compressor similar to that described in Specification 387,409 has a blower a driven from the crank shaft d arranged so as to force air through the port e and round the cylinder h, thus cooling the cylinder. Some of the air is also blown into the cylinder through the ports j. In a modification the blower is driven by the crank shaft through gearing.
