[Class 110 (ii).] Means for balancing the gears 2, 3, of a pump or engine comprise chambers 8, 9, which are connected by conduits 10, 11, each pair to one of the ports 4, 5. Thus in the case of a pump, the pressure in chambers 8 is the same as the inlet pressure at 4 and the pressure in chambers 9 equals that of the delivery in port 5. Each guide surface 12 is wide enough to completely cover the peripheries of two teeth. The pump or engine may have three gears in mesh.
