S., 17, Booth Street, Handsworth, all in Birmingham. May 22, 1933, No. 14732. [Class 7 (ii).] Gas from a chamber 14, formed by telescoping parts 16, 17 which grip between them a flame trap 20, and a dished baffle 18 containing an opening 19, passes through ports 12 in a choke tube 11 into a main air passage which contains a throttle valve 10. The flame trap, which may also act as an anti-swirl device, consists of a spirally wound corrugated metal strip, and the gas is supplied through a reducing valve or valves from a high pressure supply. To ensure slow running, a supplementary feed of gas under high pressure is provided at 21. Specification 405,050 is referred to.
