Abstract

406,356. Passenger vehicle doors. LIGHTNING FASTENERS, Ltd., Witton, Birmingham.-(Hookless Fastener Co. ; Meadville, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.) Aug. 25, 1932, No. 23847. [Class 103 (ii).] In pockets of the kind having a rigid and a non-rigid side such as are used on motor-car doors the pocket is provided with a mouth which is bowed upwardly and is arranged so as to be closed by means of a sliding clasp fastener and to have the top portion of the non- rigid side adapted to fold outwardly so as to provide access to the pocket. The inside face of the door is covered by fabric 13 and a rigid facing sheet of carciboard &c. 14 m which latter an aperture is cut to the shape of the pocket. The rigid sheet 14 is faced with trimming material 16 of leather &c. and is turned over the edges of the cardboard as shown at 17. The non-rigid side of the pocket comprises flexible fabric &c. 18 such as leather secured around its edges at 20, 21 leaving a top bowed portion which is adapted to fold outwardly. A sliding clasp fastener is provided to connect the edges 26, 27 of the top portion of the pocket.
