PHILY, F., 80, Rue de Seze, Lyons, France.- (also Assignee of Allgemeine Elektricitats- Ges. ; 2, Friedrich Karl-Ufer, and Wellisch, L. ; 22, Emser Strasse, both in Berlin). July 18, 1933, No. 20225. Convention date, July 18, 1932. [Class 38 (iii).] Travelling to predetermined limits.-In order that looms and other machines may be brought to rest at the most convenient position for re-starting, the switch 2 for driving the motor in the normal forward direction is linked electrically to a reversing switch 3 which is closed when the switch 2 is opened and remains closed to reverse the loom &c., till a cam 11 on the crankshaft or other part of the machine opens a switch 10 in a circuit controlling the reversing switch. In some cases, the camcontrolled switch is held clear of the cam by a holding coil which remains energized so long as the forward switch 2 is closed. The cam-controlled switch may be operated by a pawl adapted to engage a swell on the cam-disc to prevent the machine from running forwardly into an undesired position after the switch 2 has been opened.
