Abstract

406,139. Grinding-in cocks. BARTOS, J., (trading as BARTOS & CO., J.), Hedvikov u Caslave, Czecho-Slovakia. March 29, 1933, No. 9506. [Class 60.] The plug and body of a cock are ground together by means of emery and oil, one part, for example, the body being mounted freely, and the other part being rotated and moved axially to engage the first part. The plug 2, in the arrangement shown, is mounted on a shaft 4 rotated, through gearing 8, 9 and variable speed friction gear 6, 7, by a shaft 5, and the shaft 4 is lifted and lowered by rises on a cam 11 on the shaft 5 and by spring 15. The body 1 is secured to the part 17 of a ball and socket j oint 17 .. 19 and the seating surface of the body is engaged at various angles by the plug, the friction between the body and the plug also causing the body to move round with the plug at each contact.
